Chapter VI: In which you help us put new cards in the game!
over 5 years ago – Fri, Nov 16, 2018 at 09:06:25 AM

Dear backers,

We are now 2 weeks into the campaign and are very close to 70% funded! Thank you again to everyone who has supported us in this project!

How many cards can we add to the game?
How many cards can we add to the game?

As thanks, we want to have you help us choose some new cards for the game, but before we do that, we need to keep pushing towards funding and decide how many cards to add - we're calling on you to help us with both!

Go to this post and follow the rules written there and encourage your friends to do the same! We will keep this going until midnight EST on November 23!

If the game is successfully funded we will send out periodic updates after the campaign were you get to vote on the cards you would to add. Each of the cards will be based not only on Don Quixote itself, but also on works inspired by Don Quixote!

Cheers and thanks again!

over 5 years ago – Sun, Nov 11, 2018 at 09:08:33 PM

Dear backers,

As you may have seen on the Kickstarter page, La Mancha features hand-painted watercolor artwork that I have done myself. This Tuesday, November 13, I'll be livestreaming a painting session at 8 pm.

You can follow the stream on Pie for Breakfast Studios' Twitch channel.

Here are some examples of artwork I've done already and the sketch that I'll be painting on Tuesday! Please join!

Chapter IV: Which includes a video update, updates on potential Spanish versions of the game, and shows off a better-balanced Journey deck!
over 5 years ago – Fri, Nov 09, 2018 at 08:49:54 PM

Dear backers,

We're just over a week into the campaign and we're already at 60% funded! Thanks to everyone who has backed us so far :-) Here's a video update reviewing the week, answering some questions about the game, and showing off some new game balancing we did.

We made some appearances on podcasts this week:

Level Design Lobby had me on for an interview where I discussed the how the Journey deck relates to quest design for video games!

The Lollygagger's Podcast also had some really nice things to say about the game and the Kickstarter. They really liked the light roleplaying elements and thought the game might be useful in creative writing classrooms!

There was also a story about the game on Tabletop Gaming News this week too!

We also wanted to thank Bloss Consulting who's been helping us out with our social media management.

And lastly, we wanted to announce the WINNER of the first week's "Let's Play La Mancha!" competition backer only competition: Azuvala!

They'll win a free art print from the game along with their pledge. If you didn't win or missed it altogether this time don't worry, we'll do one of these each week!

Until next time, please continue to tell your friends about the game as we sally forth towards our funding goal!
